Northeast Monsoon picks up pace over Peninsular India, giving heavy showers over Tamil Nadu and Kerala. All thanks to the fresh weather systems in Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea which have become more marked.

The cyclonic circulation over southwest Bay of Bengal has intensified into low pressure area and is likely to intensify up to depression. While cyclonic circulation over Lakshadweep region is also expected to get more organized.
With this, widespread moderate to heavy showers are expected over Kerala and Tamil Nadu on Sunday, with few places recording very heavy showers.

Chennai will also receive moderate to heavy showers during next 24 hours.
While, scattered good showers may occur over South Interior Karnataka and coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Moving up to the North India, a fresh Western Disturbance is affecting North India, which is presently marked over North Pakistan and adjoining region.

This will bring fresh spell of widespread rain and snow over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh on Sunday. While Uttarakhand will have scattered rain activity only.

Though it will not have any major impact on northern plains but will arrest the fall of minimum temperatures over the region.

While, anti-cyclonic circulation over south Uttar Pradesh and North Madhya Pradesh will keep entire Northwest and Central India dry. East and Northeast India will also witness least weather activity.
