Peninsular India is the only region in the country that will be witnessing weather activity on Friday. A trough can be seen running from Coastal Andhra Pradesh up to Tamil Nadu and further in Bay of Bengal.

As a result, good showers are expected over coastal areas of Tamil Nadu. While light rain will be witnessed over interiors of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, South Interior Karnataka and Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

A fresh cyclonic circulation is also seen brewing in South Bay of Bengal and is likely to get more marked. However, it will start affecting the weather after 48 hours.

Meanwhile on the western side, the depression in Arabian Sea has intensified into deep depression but has moved far away from the Indian coast. Hence, it will not be affecting weather over the coast from now onwards.

Moving up to the North India, the Western Disturbance affecting the region has now moved away. With this, weather conditions will now improve over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh which have been reeling under cold wave conditions. Maximum temperatures will be gradually crawling back to normal.

However, with wind pattern changing to cold north westerlies, minimum temperatures across the northern plains will now witness a drop of at least 2 to 3 degrees.

Anti-cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan will keep entire West and Central India dry. East and Northeast India will also witness least weather activity.
