Very severe cyclonic storm Chapala will make landfall over the Yemen coast on Tuesday, probably by the forenoon hours. Thereafter, it will weaken rapidly. Nevertheless, north Yemen, south Oman and the Arabian Peninsula will receive very heavy rainfall during the next 48 hours.
We could see a cyclonic circulation coming up over the Arabian Sea, off Goa and Konkan coast. The cyclonic circulation prevailing over the Bay of Bengal, off Andhra Coast, is becoming less marked. These two systems have been keeping the Southern Peninsula active in terms of rainfall activity. Tomorrow, we can expect moderate to light rainfall over Kerala, Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, and Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Central and Eastern parts of the country will witness clear sky condition and remain mainly dry, in view of this anti cyclone.
Northeastern states will receive some light rainfall tomorrow.
As we move onto the northern parts of the country, we could see a Western Disturbance approaching. It will bring scattered rain and snow in the higher reaches. The lower hills and foothills of Punjab will also receive light rainfall. The system will gradually bring under its purview the plains of North India including Delhi-NCR. You might experience rainy weather around the 4th and 5th of November, significantly increasing the prevailing nip in the air.
