November 6, 2016 6:03 PM | Skymet Weather Team

The depression over North Bay of Bengal has weakened into a well-marked low pressure area. With this, rains will reduce significantly over Gangetic West Bengal including Kolkata, but light to moderate rains are likely over northeastern states for the next 24 hours.

Weather in South Peninsula will remain dry; however parts of South Tamil Nadu and Kerala will continue to record scattered showers.

Temperatures over Central India have further dropped. Weather in Gujarat and West Rajasthan is warm and sunny. Maximum temperatures are expected to remain in the range of 33-37 degree Celsius for both the states.

Meanwhile up in northern plains, smog conditions are persisting and this situation is expected to improve marginally with the increase in the speed of northwesterly winds. This will also drop both the maximum and minimum temperatures across Delhi-NCR.
