The depression in west-central Bay has moved further in northeast direction and is now lying in northwest Bay of Bengal and heading towards Bangladesh. The system may intensify into a deep depression. With this, moderate to heavy showers with extremely heavy rains are likely over northeastern states. With the system moving away, rains will reduce over Coastal Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal including Kolkata but light to moderate will continue.
South Tamil Nadu and Kerala will also continue to record scattered showers on Sunday.
Another fresh cyclonic circulation has developed in South Andaman Sea, which is likely to give good rains over Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Meanwhile up in northern plains, we can expect some relief from the dense smog with the increase in the speed of northwesterly winds. This will blow away the pollutants from the atmosphere and improve the air quality. This will also drop both the maximum and minimum temperatures across the region including Delhi-NCR.
