The depression in west-central Bay has further intensified into a deep depression. It will continue to move northeasterly direction towards Bangladesh, while skirting the Indian coast. With this, moderate to heavy showers with extremely heavy rains are likely over coastal Odisha, while Gangetic West Bengal including Kolkata will record good rains during the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rains are also likely over northeastern states of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
Meanwhile, rains will reduce gradually over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh but scattered rains will continue. South Tamil Nadu and Kerala will also record scattered showers.
Meanwhile, minimum temperatures have further dropped over northern plains including Delhi-NCR but smog conditions will continue over the northern plains but situation will improve marginally on Saturday.
