Weather Forecast for Nov 4: Rain in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Andhra, Kerala as Northeast Monsoon to be vigorous

The low-pressure area in Bay which has been giving heavy rains in Tamil Nadu including Chennai persists over Sri Lanka Coast and Tamil Nadu coast. The system is likely to weaken gradually. Also, a cyclonic circulation persists over Lakshadweep region. With this, moderate rains with few heavy spells are expected along coastal areas of Tamil Nadu. Cities like Nagapattinam, Pamban, and Tuticorin will witness moderate to heavy showers.

Chennai rains will also continue, which will worsen the ongoing flood like situation. Moderate to heavy showers are also expected over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Meanwhile, light to moderate rainy spells are expected to occur over Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Kerala, Rayalaseema and adjoining South Karnataka.

Coming to East and Northeast India, dry weather conditions are expected to occur entire East and Northeast India. Moderate fog is likely over Northeast India as well as Northwest Bay of Bengal.

Coming to Central India, dry and warm weather is expected to continue over Gujarat region. Other parts of central India will witness warm days and mainly clear sky.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

Moving to North India, northerly winds are expected over Punjab which will result in marginal drop in temperatures. Meanwhile, Delhi and the NCR region will continue to witness severe pollution levels as winds will remain light over the region. Shallow fog may occur in some parts during the early morning hours.
