Weather Forecast for Nov 30: Rain in Chennai, TN; Smog in Delhi

A well-marked low pressure area has intensified into a depression over south-central Bay of Bengal. The system is likely to move in a west-northwest direction towards Tamil Nadu Coast and may intensify further.

In wake of this, light rain may occur over coastal areas of Tamil Nadu on November 30 and by December 1. Chennai will also witness light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells.

Meanwhile, central parts of the country will have warm afternoon with maximum temperatures settling above normal over most parts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Telangana.

Up in Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is persisting over Tripura and adjoining areas. With this, isolated rain with moderate to dense fog may occur over these northeastern states.

Light easterly winds are expected over eastern parts as well as northern plains. With this, fog may occur over Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Also, smog conditions may make a comeback over Delhi and NCR region.

Coming to the hilly region of North India, a fresh Western Disturbance is affecting the hills of Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Under the influence of this system, light rain and snow is likely over these states.
