Weather Forecast for Nov 30: Cyclone alert issued, heavy rains in Tamil Nadu, Kerala

The depression over Southwest Sri Lanka coast moving northwestwards towards Kerala coast. This system is expected to intensify into a deep depression. It may also intensify into a cyclone for a short period of time.

Along with this, a fresh low pressure area has formed over Southeast Andaman Sea. The system is likely to become a depression during the next 48 hours.

Thus, moderate to heavy rains with few very heavy spells are expected over Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Strong winds are expected over the region. Meanwhile, moderate to heavy showers may also occur over southern tip of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. However, rains will remain light over rest of Kerala ad Tamil Nadu including Chennai.

East and Northeast India, temperatures are expected to drop over Northeast India. Moderate to dense fog may occur during morning hours. Meanwhile, East India will continue with dry and comfortable weather.

Central India, due to the anti-cyclone over Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Rajasthan, day will remain warm over the region. Not only this, marginal drop in night temperatures is possible over North Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

North India, the persisting Western Disturbance has moved away. Thus, dry weather will prevail over the hills of North India. Punjab, North Haryana and Northwest Uttar Pradesh may see shallow to moderate fog.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

Talking about Delhi, after a warm day, temperatures will witness a slight decrease tomorrow. Pollution levels are expected to increase due to light intensity winds.
