Tamil Nadu continues to receive normal Northeast Monsoon rains. Tomorrow Chennai will receive light rainfall activities. Here’s a look at the weather report for Thursday.
The well-marked low pressure area will intensify into a depression by Wednesday evening. We expect fairly widespread rains over Andaman and Nicobar Islands while South Tamil Nadu and Kerala will receive light to moderate rains. Few places in North Tamil Nadu, interiors and coastal parts of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh will also receive some rainfall. Coastal Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal will start receiving good rains by Thursday evening. This weather system will continue to move in a Northwest direction, intensifying further on its way.
Scattered light rains will continue over Northeastern states particularly Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
Weather in rest of the country will remain dry. As very light winds are blowing over the Northern plains, we expect foggy or rather smoggy conditions to continue over several cities including Delhi and NCR. Flight delays cannot be ruled in places like Delhi, Amritsar and Jaipur.
