The trough of low over Southeast Bay of Bengal persists. The system is likely to intensify into a low pressure area during next 48 hours. With this, rainfall activity will increase over Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Another trough is running from Southeast Arabian Sea to Lakshadweep Island. This will give scattered showers over the area. Dry and warm weather will prevail over rest of South Peninsula.
Up in Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is marked over Northeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tripura. A trough is extending from this system to Northeast Uttar Pradesh. Mainly warm weather will prevail over these areas, with light rain over Meghalaya, Sikkim and North Bengal.
Moreover, scattered shallow to moderate fog may occur over the area with isolated pockets witnessing heavy fog.
A fresh western disturbance is likely to approach North Jammu and Kashmir by November 29. As of now, night temperatures may drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the northwest plains and Central India. Weather will remain dry, shallow to moderate fog may occur over the plains.
