The low pressure area currently persists over Southwest Bay of Bengal adjoining Indian Ocean off Sri Lanka coast.
Thus, moderate to heavy rains are expected over South Coastal Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, Chennai and rest of Tamil Nadu along with Kerala, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands will witness light to moderate rains.
Isolated rains may also occur over South Karnataka including parts of Bengaluru.

Coming to Central India, an anti cyclone can be seen over Rajasthan and adjoining West Madhya Pradesh. Thus, minimum temperatures may witness a marginal drop over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha as well as parts of Chhattisgarh.
Coming to East and Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation lies over South Assam and adjoining Bangladesh. Thus, light rains may occur over parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Upper Assam and adjoining Nagaland. East India will continue to remain dry with cold weather conditions prevailing in parts of Bihar and Jharkhand.
Moving to North India, a feeble Western Disturbance is seen over North Jammu and Kashmir. With this, light rain and snow may occur over higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir. Rest of the hills will remain dry and cold.
