The low pressure area near Sri Lanka continues to move in west-northwest direction. With this, moderate to heavy rains are possible over southern districts of Tamil Nadu as well as Kerala. Light to moderate rains are also possible over the coastal regions of Tamil Nadu including Chennai.
Scattered rains are expected in interior parts of Tamil Nadu as well as Kerala, while isolated showers may occur over South Interior Karnataka including Bengaluru. The weather will remain dry over Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra.

Coming to Central region, the weather will remain dry, with bright sunshine and clear sky. Maximum temperatures will continue to settle near 30 degree mark in Chhattisgarh, parts of Vidarbha, Marathwada, Gujarat and South Rajasthan.
Talking about the weather in East and Northeast, dry weather will continue to prevail over both the regions. Cold nights will persist in East Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand. Here, day temperatures will settle mostly in mid 20s. Haze and mist is also likely in East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, parts of Meghalaya and Tripura.

Up in North, dry weather with clear sky will persist over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Similar weather conditions will be seen across the northwestern plains of the country. Dry and cold winds from the snow clad mountains will continue over the plains. Cold wave conditions may persist over parts of Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh. Smoke haze is also likely over Delhi and NCR during the morning hours.
