A fresh Western Disturbance can be seen over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir. With this, we can expect light rain and snow over Jammu and Kashmir and few areas of Himachal Pradesh. Minimum temperatures are likely to increase marginally over the hilly states, while no major changes are expected in the temperature profile across northwestern plains and Central India.
A north-south trough can be seen running from West Assam to Bangladesh. This lead to marginal rise in minimum temperatures 1-2 degrees along with shallow fog and mist over Northeast India.
Down south, a trough continues to run from South Konkan to Comorin area, while another trough is seen running from southeast Bay of Bengal up to Sri Lanka Coast. With this, light rains are likely over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, South Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep Islands. However, Chennai will continue to be dry.
