To begin with South India, with the well-marked low-pressure area weakening into a low-pressure area, we now expect light to moderate rains over many parts of Tamil Nadu along with few places over Kerala and South Interior Karnataka. Isolated rains are also possible over South coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. Weather over Telangana will remain dry.
Moving in Central India, an anti-cyclone is seen over Madhya Pradesh. Thus, we expect dry weather to prevail over South Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. In fact, weather over Maharashtra will also go dry now. In fact, parts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh would also see marginal drop in minimum temperatures.
Up in North India, dry and cold northwesterly winds continue to blow over the plains of Northwest India. Therefore, minimum temperatures over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh will drop further.
Talking about pollution, with wind spiking up the speed, marginal improvement would be seen in the air quality of Delhi-NCR region.
