In North India, the Western Disturbance has moved eastwards. Now a fresh Western disturbance is likely to approach Jammu & Kashmir which will bring scattered showers and snow over the higher reaches of Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh during next 24 hours. An induced cyclonic circulation is persisting over Central Pakistan and Punjab and Haryana. This will increase minimum temperatures over the northern plains of India including Delhi-NCR marginally.

Coming to Central India, Vidarbha and adjoining areas will continue to witness cold wave conditions. The dry and cold northerly-northeasterly winds will keep the minimum temperatures below normal over these areas.

A cyclonic circulation is persisting over Southeast Arabian Sea. Also, a trough is extending from Lakshadweep Islands to south central Bay of Bengal through this cyclonic circulation. With the combined effect of these two systems, scattered rains are expected over South Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Meanwhile, Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands may also see light showers at few places.
