November 21, 2018 6:51 PM |

Starting with South, a well-marked low pressure lies over North Coastal Tamil Nadu which would cause moderate to heavy rains over North Tamil Nadu including Chennai and adjoining South Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Also, scattered light to moderate rains are expected over Rayalaseema, remaining Tamil Nadu, Kerala and South Interior Karnataka with light spells over Coastal Karnataka as well. However, Telangana would remain dry with partly cloudy sky conditions.

Moving onto Central parts, the ongoing rains in Maharashtra would now halt, making way for dry weather. Meanwhile, we can expect the temperatures of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh to drop marginally due to cold northerly-northeasterly winds.

Up in North, a fresh Western Disturbance will approach Jammu and Kashmir and hence, scattered light to moderate rains may occur over the state and parts of Himachal Pradesh. Isolated places may even witness snowfall activities. The weather over Uttarakhand and Northwestern Plains including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh would remain dry.

Talking about the pollution, the air quality would continue to linger in ‘very poor’ category and we will have to wait for another 48 hours for marginal relief.

At last East/Northeast India, the weather over eastern as well as northeastern states would remain dry with warm and sunny days and cool nights. Minimum temperatures are expected to drop marginally over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand.
