Weather Forecast for Nov 2: Chennai rains to continue; Fog in Punjab, Haryana

Northeast Monsoon has lashed the state of Tamil Nadu including Chennai. Not only this, Chennai city is further likely to witness moderate to heavy spells of rain. A cyclonic circulation is seen persisting over southwest Bay of Bengal off south Tamil Nadu coast.

In wake of this, moderate to heavy rains are likely in coastal districts of Tamil Nadu. Also, one or two spells of heavy rains cannot be ruled out over Kerala and southern coastal parts of Andhra Pradesh.

Light to moderate rains will continue over Interior Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka. While one or two spells of rain may also occur over Rayalaseema. Weather of remaining parts of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will remain dry.

Since last 2-3 days, good spells of rain have been occurring over northeast India. But now, weather of northeastern states will go completely dry.

The weather conditions of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and East Uttar Pradesh will also remain dry. However, haze and mist will persist over these aforementioned regions during morning hours.

On the other hand, Central parts of the country will remain very warm and dry with clear sky conditions. Gujarat and Rajasthan will remain very warm during the day time while nights are expected to remain pleasant.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

A feeble Western Disturbance is seen over North Afghanistan and adjoining Pakistan. But this weather system will not have any major impact on weather of Hills. Therefore, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand as well as northwest India will remain dry with clear sky.

Mist and haze will persist over Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh during morning hours. Shallow fog formation is also expected in Punjab and Haryana.
