Weather Forecast for Nov 19: Well-Marked Low to bring rains over Tamil Nadu, Delhi pollution to intensify

A Well-Marked Low-Pressure Area lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean. This system would be further moving in West-northwestward direction. Under its influence, moderate to heavy rainfall is expected over the entire state of Tamil Nadu. Apart from this, an Upper Air Trough is extending along the West coast. Due to presence of this system, light to moderate rain is expected at some places over Kerala and Karnataka.

Moving ahead to Central India, the same trough will bring light to moderate rains over Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan Coast. However, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and the rest of Maharashtra and Gujarat region will remain dry.

Talking about East and Northeast India, A Cyclonic Circulation lies over Bangladesh and adjoining Assam. This system will bring along light rain at isolated places over Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. Rest all places including Bihar, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal will remain dry.

Coming to Northwest -India, due to the presence of Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining parts of North Pakistan, light rain and snowfall activity is likely to occur at some places over J&K and adjoining parts of Himachal Pradesh. Weather in rest of Northwest India including Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh will remain dry.
Apart from this, shallow to moderate fog will persist at some places is expected over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR and Kutch region.
If we talk about Delhi Pollution, due to the absence of any significant winds during early morning, evening and night hours, pollution will remain at its peak. Hence, people are advised to keep their preventive plans ready.
