Weather Forecast for Nov 18: Rain in Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad; Delhi Pollution to improve

Beginning with East and Northeast India, Depression over Odisha coast is expected to weaken into a well-marked low-pressure area. However, the system will continue to give light to moderate rains over parts of Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal for another 24 hours.

Light rain is also expected over Kolkata which may affect the ongoing India vs Sri Lanka test match. Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura may also receive scattered rains. Light rains are also possible over Jharkhand and Bihar.

Coming to North India, a Western Disturbance is over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir. Along with this, an induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan and adjoining Punjab region. Thus, rain and snow are expected over parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and isolated pockets of Uttarakhand.

Isolated rains may occur over Rajasthan. Talking about Delhi, smoke haze is expected over Delhi and NCR. However, pollution levels will remain on lower side.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

Central India, a feeble trough is seen running from Madhya Pradesh to Telangana. Thus, scattered rains are expected over Chhattisgarh with isolated showers over Vidarbha. Weather in Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat will remain dry and sunny.

South India, Telangana including Hyderabad may receive scattered rains due to the persisting trough. A cyclonic circulation is seen over Southeast Arabian Sea. Thus, scattered rains are possible over Coastal and South Interior Karnataka including Bengaluru, parts of Kerala. Coastal Andhra Pradesh will witness isolated rains.
