Weather Forecast for Nov 15: Chennai rains to reduce, Low Pressure to give heavy rains in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh

A fresh western disturbance is now over Jammu and Kashmir. In wake of this weather system rain and snow is expected at a few places over Jammu and Kashmir. An induced cyclonic circulation has also formed over North Rajasthan and adjoining Punjab and Haryana. Due to this weather system, scattered rains are likely over Punjab, Haryana, and North Rajasthan and isolated over Delhi and adjoining regions. Due to scattered rains and clouds, fog and smog will abate from northwestern plains including Delhi.

Talking about East India, weather will remain dry across East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Meanwhile, Light to moderate rain is possible over Gangetic West Bengal, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Odisha is also likely to receive few moderate to heavy spells along with moderate to strong winds.

In central parts of the country weather will continue to remain dry. Day will be warm but night temperatures will be cool and comfortable. However, the southern districts of Chhattisgarh may receive light rains at a few places.

Down South, a well-marked low pressure area is persisting over west central Bay of Bengal off North Andhra Pradesh coast. In wake of this weather system, heavy to very heavy rains are possible over Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Meanwhile, light rain with one or two moderate spells is also possible over Rayalaseema and North Tamil Nadu. The intensity of rain will reduce significantly over Chennai, but the city may get isolated light rain activities. Weather across Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka and Kerala will remain almost dry.
