Weather Forecast for Nov 13: Pollution in Delhi to remain severe; Rain in Chennai, Tamil Nadu

North India, due to presence of light winds, and lower temperatures shallow to moderate fog will continue over Northwest India. Delhi Pollution will continue to remain severe as due to the persistent smoke haze and fog will result in smoggy conditions across Delhi-NCR. No relief is expected for the next 2 days and Delhiites will continue to choke on hazardous air.

A Western Disturbance is seen over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir. Thus, light rains are expected over higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir. An induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan and Northwest Rajasthan. This system will give rains over parts of North India after 24 hours.

Down South, a low pressure lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal. A trough which is extending from Kerala is running up to Northwest Bay of Bengal across the low pressure area.

Thus, moderate rains with isolated heavy rains are expected over Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh Coast. Chennai will also witness moderate to heavy rains during this period. Light rains will affect some parts of Tamil Nadu, South Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.

A cyclonic circulation can also be seen over Southeast Bay of Bengal which will give moderate to heavy rains over Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

Coming to Central India, warm and dry weather will persist with fall in temperatures. Day temperatures are likely to fall in Gujarat and minimums will rise marginally.

Moving to East and Northeast India, cyclonic circulation is seen over South Bangladesh. Due to this system, clouding will increase over Gangetic West Bengal however, weather will remain dry. Shallow fog is expected over many parts of the region.
