At present, the cyclonic storm Gaja lies over East-central and adjoining parts of West-central Bay of Bengal. In wake of this cyclonic storm, light rains along with strong winds are expected over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu including Chennai.
Another weather system in the form of cyclonic circulation lies over Lakshadweep and adjoining regions in the lower levels. Hence, light rains are expected over few places in Kerala and the entire Lakshadweep area.
In East and Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation lies over South Assam and adjoining parts of East Bangladesh. Thus, light rain is possible over parts of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim.
In North India, the Western Disturbance is moving across Jammu & Kashmir. Due to the presence of this system, light to moderate rain and snowfall activity will affect the states of Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh in the next 24 hours. Apart from this, day temperatures too will show a marginal decline.

Along with this, shallow to moderate fog during early morning hours will affect isolated pockets of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Due to dry weather and light winds, pollution levels are expected to remain high over the Delhi-NCR region.
Rest parts of the country will experience dry weather with a marginal decrease in temperatures over Eastern states.
