Weather Forecast for Nov 10: Delhi pollution to continue; Rains over Andaman Islands

November 9, 2018 3:26 PM | Skymet Weather Team

Down South, due to presence of Depression over East-central Bay of Bengal and its adjoining regions, moderate to heavy rains with strong winds are expected to affect Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The cyclonic Circulation over Comorin has weakened into a trough and now lies over Kerala coast and adjoining Lakshadweep.

Because of this system, light rain will occur at some places over Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Chennai is likely to remain dry.

Up in North, the Western Disturbance lies over Northern parts of Jammu and Kashmir and is moving away east-northeastwards. Due to this system, light rain and snow are likely over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh. Isolated places of higher reaches of Uttarakhand would also get affected by the same.

Dry weather will continue over Delhi and Northwest plains. Delhi will continue to witness pollution, and we advise people to avoid venturing out in open, particularly children and elderly.

Moving towards East and Northeast India, a Cyclonic Circulation is over southern parts of Assam and adjoining Bangladesh. Since there is lack of moisture, hence weather will remain dry and cold over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal.

In Central India, the Anti-Cyclone is over South Rajasthan. Thus, we can expect dry and cool winds to prevail over central parts of the country. This would further lead to fall in temperature.
