Northeast Monsoon finally made a weak onset over South Peninsula. The cyclonic circulation over southeast and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal will gradually intensify and move in a west/northwest direction. A trough is extending from this system to Lakshadweep region across Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka and Kerala.
We expect good rains over Andaman and Nicobar Islands and scattered light to moderate rains over Tamil Nadu and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Rayalseema, Karnataka and Kerala may also receive light to moderate rains at few places.
Another cyclonic circulation can be seen over Northwest Bay of Bengal due to which light rains are likely at few places over Gangetic West Bengal, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
Up in the North, the Western Disturbance is moving away. Thus, dry weather conditions are likely over the Western Himalayas. Cool and dry winds from north and northeast will be blowing over North and Central India. In this entire region we will witness cool nights and warm days.
Diwali celebrations have severely deteriorated the air quality in Delhi and NCR. And, the situation will not improve until and unless we strong winds blowing over the region.
