Weather Forecast for May 8: Rain in Bangalore, Hyderabad while heatwave abates from India

With the beginning of May, people in most parts of the country breathed a sigh of relief. Pre-Monsoon showers were witnessed in most parts of the country. As of now, rain has reduced in most parts but heatwave conditions have not made a comeback.

The Western Disturbance has moved away from Jammu and Kashmir. Weather in the Northwest plains will once again go dry. Winds will start blowing from the southwest direction leading to increase in temperatures by 2 to 3 degree Celsius during next 24 hours.

In the eastern parts we can see a cyclonic circulation over North Bangladesh and adjoining sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Good rains will continue over Sikkim, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Northeastern states. Coming down, even Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha will receive scattered rain and thundershowers. Isolated hailstorm activities with squally winds seem a possibility.

In central parts of the country, South Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana will receive scattered light to moderate rains. A trough which is extending from Madhya Pradesh to Tamil Nadu across Maharashtra, Interiors of Karnataka and Kerala will enhance the rainfall activity over the region. Bangalore, Coimbatore may receive thundershowers. Isolated parts of Gujarat and adjoining Maharashtra could also receive some thunderstorm activity.
