Monsoon 2017 has further advanced into South Arabian Sea and some more parts of Bay of Bengal. The conditions are favorable for the onset of Monsoon over Kerala in the next 24 hours.
Cyclone Mora has intensified further and we expect its landfall over Bangladesh by May 30, afternoon. Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rains are expected over Gangetic West Bengal, coastal Odisha and Northeast India. With this, South Bangladesh may also receive heavy to extremely heavy rainfall and thundershower activities in the next 24 hours. Therefore, the sea conditions will also remain very rough in the nearby regions.
With this, scattered rain and thundershower activities are expected to continue over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Delhi and western parts of Uttar Pradesh.
Coming to North, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Central Pakistan. A trough is extending from western parts of Uttar Pradesh.
Coming to Central India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over the region of Gujarat. Due to this, light rains may occur over Valsad, Bhavnagar and Surat.
Meanwhile, few places of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh will also witness light rainfall activity.

However, heatwave conditions are also likely to abate from Central India.
Down south, the rain intensity over coastal regions including Kerala and Karnataka may increase during the next 24 hours. Rain activities which were prevailing over Tamil Nadu will take a back seat. Rain intensity will decrease over interior parts, such as Rayalseema, Telangana and interior Tamil Nadu.
