Weather Forecast for May 29: Cyclone likely in Bay; Rain in Mumbai, Goa

The depression over east central and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify into a deep depression. Further intensification into a cyclone is also expected. Meanwhile, Southwest Monsoon will get closer to Kerala region.
Also, moderate to heavy rains are likely over Kerala with light to moderate showers over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

Moderate to heavy rains will continue over Andaman and Nicobar Islands as well.

Coming to East and Northeast India, the persisting trough over Jharkhand will give rains over eastern parts of the country. Not only this, the system in Bay will give good rains over many parts of Northeast India.

A cyclonic circulation is over northern parts of Rajasthan and adjoining Punjab. With this, North Rajasthan and Punjab will witness rain and thundershowers along with isolated pockets of Delhi-NCR witnessing some rains.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

A trough is extending from North Rajasthan across South Uttar Pradesh and North Chhattisgarh. Thus, central India will also witness some rainfall activity during the next 24 hours which will result in decrease in temperature.

Konkan and Goa may also witness some showers with rains likely to make a comeback over Mumbai.
