It’s that time of the year again when the much-awaited Southwest Monsoon paves way for its arrival into the mainland of India. It’s the time when meteorologists across the country remain on tenterhooks for any advancement, especially because we are quite positive about Monsoon this year. As of now, let’s take a look at the weather forecast for tomorrow.
The Western Disturbance over North India has moved away eastwards. Remnants of the system will continue to bring light rain at few places over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh for another 24 hours.
There is trough extending from East Uttar Pradesh upto the weather system over Gangetic West Bengal. Therefore, we can expect some light scattered rain and thundershowers over central and eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh, Northeast Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Chhattisgarh. Another trough can be seen extending from West Assam to the cyclonic circulation over Gangetic West Bengal. Thus, we can expect good rainfall activity at many places over Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. Isolated thunderstorm activity seems a possibility over Bihar, Jharkhand and interiors of Odisha. North Coastal Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal could receive good showers as well.
The trough along the West Coast will continue to bring good rain and thundershowers. Few good spells of rainfall are likely over Kerala, Lakshadweep, Coastal Karnataka and Maharashtra including Mumbai. Interiors of Madhya Maharashtra and Karnataka could also receive some rain.
Heatwave seems to be on a declining note now. We can expect marginal drop in temperatures over Gujarat, parts of Rajasthan and Vidarbha. But isolated pockets in interiors of Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are still under heatwave conditions. Due to scattered rain over the area during next few days, temperatures will go down and heatwave will abate from most parts of the country. Tomorrow, day temperatures in Hyderabad could go upto 40 degree Celsius. Places like Chandrapur, Nagpur and Wardha will be the hottest places in the country.
