Weather Forecast for May 19: Rain in Bengaluru, Chennai; thunderstorm in Haryana, Rajasthan

A Western Disturbance is giving scattered rains over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.

An induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan. Also, a trough is extending up to Punjab.

Due to this, isolated dust storm and rain activities are expected over Haryana and North Rajasthan.

Coming to Central India, hot and dry weather will persist over most parts of Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and East Madhya Pradesh.

However, Odisha is likely to witness a marginal fall in the temperatures during the next 24 hours.

Coming to East and Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Odisha which will give scattered over this region. A trough is extending from East Bihar to Gangetic West Bengal.

Due to this, light to moderate thundershowers are expected over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

With this, parts of Bihar may also receive isolated rainfall.

Coming to South India, a trough is extending up to South Tamil Nadu. Good rains are expected over Interior Tamil Nadu and South Interior Karnataka including Bengaluru.

Chennai may also receive isolated rain and thunderstorm activities in the next 24 hours.

However, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar islands may witness light to moderate rains over these regions.
