The prevailing low pressure area in Southwest Bay of Bengal has intensified into a well-marked low pressure and moved closer to Tamil Nadu coast. The system is likely to turn into a depression in next 24 hours.

With this, we can expect fairly widespread moderate to heavy rains and thundershowers over several parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala on Monday. South Interior Karnataka including Bangalore will also see some rain due to this.

This system continues to infuse moisture over Northeast region due to which northeastern states will continue with good rain and thundershowers on Monday.

a cyclonic circulation is marked over South Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Northeast Madhya Pradesh. But due to lack of moisture, the system will be unable to give any weather.

A trough is also extending from this system up to Rayalaseema across East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Telangana. Accordingly we can expect isolated rain all along the well-marked trough line.

Meanwhile in North India, the Western Disturbance is marked over Jammu Kashmir, which may give scattered rain over the state and neighbouring Himachal Pradesh.

Its induced cyclonic circulation is seen over Central Pakistan and adjoining Rajasthan but the system is very weak to give any weather over the northwestern plains.

With this, heatwave conditions will continue over several parts of northwest and Central India on Monday, particularly Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh that may see severe heat wave conditions as well.

Parts of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan will reel under extreme hot weather conditions on Monday.
