Weather Forecast for May 12: Rain in Chennai, Bengaluru; thunderstorm, dust storm in Delhi, Rajasthan

Western Disturbance is moving away eastwards. In the process, it will give light rain over hills of North India. A trough is extending from the foothills of North India to Bihar across Uttar Pradesh. Due to this, isolated thunderstorm or dust storm over Plains of North India including Delhi.

A trough is also seen over Central and South Pakistan due to which isolated dust storm possible over Rajasthan.

In Central India, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh will witness hot and dry weather conditions. On the other hand, due to a persisting trough, isolated rains will occur over Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha.

Coming to East India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Bihar and adjoining areas. Thus, scattered rains over East Bihar, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and northern parts of West Bengal. Scattered rains will continue over Northeast India
South, a trough is extending from Bihar up to Interior Karnataka. Thus, isolated rains may occur over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and North Interior Karnataka.

South Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu will continue with scattered light to moderate and thundershowers. Light rain is also expected over Bengaluru.

A feeble trough is also seen over South Coastal Tamil Nadu. Thus, Chennai and adjoining coastal stations may receive isolated rains.
