The much hyped thunderstorm, dust storm activity has taken a break and now weather will become hot. Northeast will also see reduced weather activities. However, South India is expected to see some increased rains while heatwave will make a comeback over Central India.

Let us now take a look at the detailed weather conditions prevailing across the country:
The Western Disturbance has moved away, and now dry northwesterly winds will commence over Northwest India as well as hills of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Now, weather is expected to become dry and temperatures will see a rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius. Jaipur is expected to see warm weather with increase in temperatures.
Coming to Central India, dry northwesterly and westerly winds will also continue over most parts of Central India. Temperatures of most parts of Rajasthan and Gujarat will be in lower 40s. Heatwave is likely over Vidarbha and isolated pockets of Marathwada. Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh will also be hot. Ahmedabad will remain hot with increasing mercury levels.
East and Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is over Sub Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining areas. A trough from this system is extending up to South Peninsular India across Jharkhand and Odisha. Thus, good rains are likely over West Bengal, Sikkim and West Assam. Scattered rains may occur over Odisha with isolated showers over Jharkhand and East Bihar. Northeast India will witness reduced rains now. The city of Kolkata may see thundershowers. Guwahati is also likely to see some rains.

Down South, A trough is extending across Telangana and South Interior Karnataka to Tamil Nadu. A feeble trough is also seen from Tamil Nadu to Southwest Bay of Bengal. Thus, light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells are possible over Kerala, South Interior Karnataka and Interior Tamil Nadu. Scattered rains are expected over Coastal Andhra Pradesh with isolated activity over North Coastal Tamil Nadu and Rayalaseema. Chennai may see thunderstorm activities. Bengaluru is expected to witness rains.
