The Western Disturbance over North Pakistan and adjoining areas is moving eastwards. The induced cyclonic circulation is sitting over Punjab. Also we can see a trough extending from this system across Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and up to West Bengal. This trough will be responsible for pre-Monsoon activities in terms of dust storm and thundershowers over the next couple of days. This slow moving system will lead to drop in temperatures. Thus, we do not expect any heatwave conditions over the region.

Northern parts of Rajasthan may receive dust storm and light thundershowers but western and southern parts will remain dry. Places like Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Barmer will not witness any weather activity over the next few days. Rajasthan will thus remain the hottest part of India for next few days.

Going to the eastern parts, the cyclonic circulation over here will bring scattered rains in Northeast India. Under the influence of this trough and due to moisture influx from the Bay of Bengal parts of Bengal and Odisha will receive some rainfall.

The wind discontinuity across is extending from Madhya Pradesh across Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. On and off pre-Monsoon showers will continue on either side of the discontinuity. Maharashtra could see thundershowers and hail storm activities. Bangalore and Hyderabad will remain pleasant as more showers are in the offing.
