The induced cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan and adjoining Pakistan has weakened. Thus, the pre-Monsoon activity over Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh will take a break and weather would now go dry. In view of this, the temperatures are expected to witness a rise. Weather across the capital is expected to turn hot.

Moving to East and Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Bihar and adjoining Sub Himalayan West Bengal which is expected to give isolated activity over these two regions and Jharkhand. Another circulation is over Assam and Meghalaya region and a trough is extending between the two circulations. In view of the combined weather systems, Northeast India will continue to record light to moderate rainfall activity, with few areas receiving heavy spells as well. The city of Joy, Kolkata is also likely to observe thunderstorm activity.

In Central India, we do not expect any major pre Monsoon activity due to absence of any weather system over the region. Thus, the day maximums will soar high above 40°C. In fact, heatwave will also dominate few pockets.

Lastly in South India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Telangana and adjoining Vidarbha region. Another circulation is lying over south peninsular tip. A trough is extending between these two systems. Thus, we expect rain and thundershower to continue over Kerala, South Interior Karnataka and Interior parts of Tamil Nadu. In fact, isolated showers may also make an appearance in parts of Madhya Maharashtra.

Bengaluru is likely to record rain and thundershower activity. Hyderabad will observe a very hot day, however thundershower and light rain will occur. Meanwhile, Chennai is likely to remain dry.
