India will be celebrating Holi tomorrow under hot and humid conditions. Dry weather likely in most parts of the country. All the more reason to jump into the pool of coloured water.

The Western Disturbance will be seen over Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir region. The induced cyclonic circulation will remain over Central Pakistan. These weather systems seem to be complementing each other, bring a prolonged spell of rain in North India. Rain will commence over the hills on the 24th and gradually trickle down to the plains. The intensity and spread will be more on the 26th and 27th over the plains. The circulation will gradually shift towards East India. The passage of the system will affect Rajasthan and parts of Gujarat as well.

Over the next 2 days, maximums in Delhi and the plains of North India will be in mid-thirties. Morning and evening hours will be pleasant.

The cyclonic circulation over upper parts of Assam will bring some scattered light rain over this region. East India will be hot and humid with temperature reaching mid-thirties. No rain likely here tomorrow.

The most prominent feature will be the trough extending from Maharashtra up to Kerala with an embedded cyclonic circulation over North Interior Karnataka. Few places across this region could receive some thundershowers during next 24 to 48 hours. Kerala could receive good showers as well.

Heat wave conditions will keep building up over Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Temperatures will be exceeding 42°C in few pockets during next couple of days.

Mumbai and Bangalore will witness oppressive heat. Day temperatures will be in mid-thirties. But Bangalore will definitely be less humid as compared to Mumbai.
