The Western Disturbance is seen over Jammu and Kashmir. It has induced a cyclonic circulation over Northeast Rajasthan. Due to combined effect of these two systems, scattered rain and snow is likely over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and parts of Uttarakhand. Vaishno Devi may witness very light rains, however pilgrimage will not be affected by this. Meanwhile, North Punjab will record some scattered rains with isolated hailstorm activity. These rains have dropped down the production of wheat. The farmers indicated it to be beneficial, as the winters this year has been relatively warmer. No major change is expected in temperatures over northwestern plains including Delhi NCR.
Central parts of the country will continue to witness hot and dry weather. Maximum temperature in Gujarat is expected to settle in higher 30s.
Coming to East India; Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Interior Odisha may witness rise in temperatures by 1 or 2 degrees.
A feeble trough extends over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. With this, scattered rain and thundershowers are likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.
Down South, partly cloudy sky conditions are expected over the region, including Bangalore and Chennai. However, the weather will remain dry over these areas.
