Several parts of the country are witnessing pre-Monsoon rain and thundershower activities, but the intensity of these activities have reduced.
To start with North India, the Western Disturbance which was affecting the hilly region is moving away. However, scattered rain with isolated spell of snow will continue over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for another 24 hours. Thereafter, the weather is expected to become dry.
Meanwhile, the weather will go dry over entire Northwestern plains with Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Both maximum and minimum temperatures will remain below normal in most parts of this region.
Moving to eastern and southern parts of the country, a trough is extending from Bihar to interior Tamil Nadu across Odisha and Chhattisgarh, giving isolated light rain and thundershowers over Coastal Odisha and South Interior Karnataka. Parts of South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala may also see some scattered rain activity. Day temperatures are likely to remain above normal over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjoining Rayalaseema.
