Weather Forecast for Mar 9: Rain in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi to remain warm

March 8, 2018 6:13 PM |

With temperatures across the country showing rising trend, Summer is all set to make an onset soon. With no major systems forming over the region, the weather has remained mainly dry over the most parts of the country.

At present, hilly region of north and central parts of the country are the only two pockets to witness any major weather activity.

All thanks to the passage of Western Disturbance across Jammu and Kashmir and its induced cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan and Gujarat.

While, disturbance would give light rain over Jammu and Kashmir, the circulation would give isolated rain over North Rajasthan.

A trough is also extending from this circulation up to Southeast Madhya Pradesh. With this, scattered rains are likely along the trough line over southeast Rajasthan, parts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Adjoining region of Vidarbha could also see some clouding but rains are ruled out.

Meanwhile, northwestern plains of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh along with parts of Gujarat and Marathwada region of Maharashtra will remain dry. This would lead to marginal rise in minimum temperatures over the region.

Another cyclonic circulation is marked over eastern parts of Bangladesh and adjoining areas that would give light rains over East Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Remaining parts of Northeast India as well East India will remain dry.

Moving down south, dry and warm weather would persist over entire Southern Peninsular India due to absence of any weather system.

Talking about major cities, Delhi-NCR would see a warm day and cool night, while Mumbai will have a warm and humid day, with partly cloudy sky conditions.

Bengaluru would start day with hazy morning, followed by a warm day. Meanwhile, people across Hyderabad will have to battle a hot day.
