Weather Forecast for Mar 5: Rains ahead for Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan

Beginning with North India, where an active Western Disturbance lies over North Pakistan. Its induced Cyclonic Circulation is over West Rajasthan. Due to this, widespread rains and snow are likely over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Similar rains are also likely over Punjab, Haryana, Northwest Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. A few heavy spells and hailstorm are also likely.

Coming on to East and Northeast India where due to the persistence of a Confluence Zone and a Cyclonic Circulation over Bangladesh, rain and thundershowers are likely over Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha with a few moderate spells and chances of hailstorm. Rainfall is also likely to continue over multiple Northeast states.

Talking about Central India, where a Trough is extending from South Madhya Pradesh to North Karnataka. Rains are likely at many paces over Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha with chances of hailstorm. Rest parts of Maharashtra will see a mainly dry day with a partly cloudy sky.

Lastly in South India, where a Trough is extending along the coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Rain and thundershower activities are likely at scattered places over Kerala, West Tamil Nadu, Telangana, North Andhra Pradesh coast and adjoining parts of South Karnataka.
