Weather Forecast for Mar 3: Rain expected in Kolkata and Bengaluru, shallow fog in Punjab and Delhi

Beginning with East and Northeast India, a Cyclonic Circulation is over East Assam and adjoining area. Therefore, rainfall activities will increase in Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland. Isolated rain may occur in West Bengal and parts of Odisha. Kolkata may observe isolated patchy rain or thundershowers. The weather of rest East India will be dry.

In Northwest India, dry winds from west and northwest direction will continue in the Western Himalayas as well as the northern plains. Therefore, the day temperature is expected to increase by 1-2 degrees Celsius while minimums may drop marginally. Shallow fog or mist is likely in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh. Delhi pollution may increase marginally due to light winds.

Talking about Central India, the ongoing rainfall activity in East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha will subside now and the weather will become clear. The day temperature of Gujarat, Rajasthan, rest Maharashtra and West Madhya Pradesh will increase by 1-2 degrees Celsius. Mumbai may experience dry and warm weather.

Down South, a Cyclonic Circulation is over Coastal Karnataka. We expect, scattered light rain with one or two moderate spells in Karnataka, Interior Tamil Nadu and in one or two parts of Kerala. On the other hand, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu will remain dry. City-wise the weather of Hyderabad and Chennai will be dry, but Bengaluru may experience isolated thunderstorm activity.
