After witnessing somewhat comfortable conditions, temperatures are all set to rise over the central and the northern parts of the country with heatwave like conditions in the central regions as well. Rains will remain confined to the east and northeastern region along with some activity over the south as well.
A feeble Western Disturbance is moving across North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir as an upper air system. With this, isolated light rain and snow are likely over the higher reaches of the hills of North India. Meanwhile, due to flow of northerly winds, northern plains including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh will see the maximums rising by two to three degrees while nights will remain pleasant.

Talking about the central parts, northerly winds are blowing over here as well due to which rise in temperatures is expected over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh. Temperatures may also reach close to 40 degrees in parts of Vidarbha, Marathwada, North Madhya Maharashtra and Gujarat resulting in heatwave like conditions.
A cyclonic circulation can be seen over Assam and its adjoining areas and a trough is extending from this system up to Arunachal Pradesh due to which light to moderate rains are likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Nagaland with rest of the northeastern states witnessing isolated activity. A trough is also seen extending from the very circulation up to Odisha coast which will result in isolated thunderstorm over Odisha, Jharkhand and adjoining West Bengal.

A trough is seen extending from Southeast Arabian Sea up to Coastal Karnataka which will give scattered rains over Kerala with isolated weather activity over Goa, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Lakshadweep may also see some rains.
Talking about major cities in India, Delhi is expected to remain warm and dry while humid weather with chances of isolated thunderstorm are likely over Kolkata. Hyderabad along with warm conditions may also witness thunderstorm activity. Bengaluru will remain warm and dry while humidity will be on the higher side over Chennai. Mumbai on the other hand is expected to remain very warm during the day.
