Weather Forecast for Mar 21: Rain in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, thunderstorm in Delhi

Slowly and steadily, the pre-Monsoon weather activities are gripping the country. At present, multiple weather systems can be seen over several parts. Beginning with the Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining North Pakistan, light to moderate rain and snow may occur over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Meanwhile its induced cyclonic circulation over Punjab, Haryana and North Rajasthan would give light to moderate rain and thundershower activity over few places of Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, and West Uttar Pradesh.

In fact, Delhi-NCR also stands a chance for very light rain at one or two places. Moreover, the persistent cloud cover would drop the day temperatures across northwestern plains by 2°C to 3°C.

A trough can also be seen extending from this circulation to South India across Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. We can expect weather activity all along the well-marked trough line that include isolated to scattered light rain over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and over one or two places in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.

Down south, the trough may give isolated rains over South Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Interior Tamil Nadu.

Up in northeast region, humid winds from the Bay of Bengal are reaching the states that may give isolated rain over Arunachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, weather of West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal and Odisha will be the only pocket that would remain almost dry.

Meanwhile talking about the weather across major cities, Delhi-NCR will witness a partly cloudy sky with chances of light rain and thunderstorm. Meanwhile, Mumbai Bengaluru and Hyderabad would see a warm day with partly cloudy sky.

Warm and humid weather with partly cloudy sky will prevail over Chennai and Kolkata.
