Weather Forecast for Mar 20: Snow in Kashmir, Himachal, rain in Kerala, dry weather in Mumbai, Chennai

It seems another rainy week is in offing for the few parts of country, with the Northwest India taking the lead this time.

Beginning with the same, a fresh Western Disturbance can be seen over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir. It has also induced a cyclonic circulation over Central Pakistan and adjoining North Rajasthan. Also, a trough is extending from this system up to Madhya Pradesh across North Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

Under the influence of these systems, light to moderate rain and snow are expected over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and isolated parts of Uttarakhand.

Meanwhile, scattered showers are possible over Punjab and Northwest Uttar Pradesh. Isolated rain may also occur over Haryana and North Rajasthan.

However, the rainy spell is likely to escape Delhi, which would only witness warm weather, with partly cloudy sky conditions.

Meanwhile in Central India, the sky would remain partly cloudy to cloudy over East Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha region of Maharashtra on account of the trough. Light rain is also possibility over the cited areas.

Meanwhile, the weather over rest parts of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat would remain dry and warm.

Mumbai would see a warm and sunny day, with a maximum of 32°C and a minimum of 24°C.

Moving to East and Northeast India, with no major weather system hovering over and around the region, the weather would remain dry and sunny over the eastern as well as northeastern states.

Kolkata is expected to have a warm and humid day, with a maximum of 36°C and minimum of 25°C.

Lastly in South India, the pre-Monsoon trough is extending from Madhya Pradesh up to South Interior Karnataka. With this, the sky would remain partly cloudy to cloudy over Telangana and Interior Karnataka. However, the weather would remain dry.

Kerala might see some light rains.

Bengaluru would see a warm day, with partly cloudy to cloudy sky conditions. The weather over Chennai will too remain warm but humid as well. Sky would be partly cloudy, with maximum around 34°C and a minimum of 24°C.
