Weather Forecast for Mar 20: Rains ahead for Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, West Bengal

Beginning with North India, where a feeble Western Disturbance is over North Pakistan. Its induced Cyclonic Circulation is over Central Pakistan. Under the influence of this system, scattered rains and snowfall is likely over the upper reaches of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh as well as Ladakh. Isolated rains are likely over Uttarakhand, northern districts of Punjab, Haryana. Delhi might also see thunderstorm activity during the late night hours.

Talking about Central India, where a Cyclonic Circulation is over Northeast Madhya Pradesh and a Trough is extending from this system up to Tamil Nadu. Therefore, scattered rains are expected over East Madhya Pradesh, parts of Chhattisgarh, and in isolated pockets of Vidarbha. Meanwhile, weather of Rajasthan, Gujarat, rest MP and remaining Maharashtra will be dry. Mumbai may witness marginal drop in day temperatures.

Talking about East India, where due to the moisture feed from Bay of Bengal and a Cyclonic Circulation over Northeast Madhya Pradesh, scattered rains are possible over Odisha and at a few places over Jharkhand. West Bengal may also witness isolated thunderstorm activities and light rains. Also, due to a Cyclonic Circulation over Northeast, light rains may occur over East Assam and Arunachal Pradesh as well.

Lastly in South India where a North-South Trough is running across Telangana to interior Tamil Nadu. We expect rain and thundershowers at a few places over Northcoastal Andhra Pradesh, parts of Telangana, interior Karnataka and Kerala. Hyderabad may also receive light rains. Chennai will remain dry.
