Weather Forecast for Mar 18: Temperatures to rise in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Punjab

Beginning with the weather conditions across North India, the Western Disturbance giving good rain and snowfall over the hilly states has moved away. Therefore, the weather has become dry in Jammu Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. It is estimated that on Sunday also the weather will continue to remain dry in these states.

Not only in the hills, but the weather across the northern plains of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh will remain dry.

In fact, there will be an increase in the day temperatures also. However, with the effect of light-to-moderate north-western dry winds, the minimum temperature will be around normal and hence the weather during night and morning will remain pleasant.

Moving to East India, a cyclonic circulation is prevailing over Assam and its adjacent parts. Therefore, light to moderate rain is expected in parts of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and Nagaland and in some parts of Manipur, Mizoram and Meghalaya.

There may also be light rain in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. Meanwhile, the weather in Bihar, Jharkhand and East Uttar Pradesh will remain dry.

After the recent rainy spell in Central India, the weather has now become dry. At present an anti-cyclone feature is prevailing over Chhattisgarh and adjacent parts. Due to this system, the weather will remain dry in most parts of central India. A trough is extending from coastal Karnataka to the northern part of Maharashtra, due to which light rainfall and thundershower activity may occur in some parts of central Maharashtra.

Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and South Madhya Pradesh would witness a rise in temperatures by 2 to 3 degrees. In Gujarat, the temperature will continue to remain above normal.

Finally, the talking about the weather conditions of South India, there is a trough is extending from South Andhra Pradesh to Kerala across. In wake of this, the southern states will continue to observe rainfall activity. Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and South Tamil Nadu would record light to moderate rain. Meanwhile, rainfall will reduce over northern parts of Tamil Nadu.
