The previous Western Disturbance has moved away but a fresh one in quick succession can be seen over Jammu and Kashmir and its adjoining areas. Thus, light to moderate rains are expected over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh. Higher reaches may also see some snowfall activity. Uttarakhand on the other hand will see light rains. Hailstorm activity also cannot be ruled out in some parts.
Its induced cyclonic circulation is over Punjab and adjoining Haryana due to which Northern parts of Punjab and Haryana are expected to witness good rains while isolated rain/thunderstorm may be seen over rest of the plains of North India. Hailstorm also cannot be ruled out in some areas. Also, due to change in wind pattern, temperatures may witness a drop over both the plains and the hills.

A confluence zone is expected to form over the central parts as dry winds from Northwest are merging with the winds coming from the Bay of Bengal. Thus, states of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and isolated pockets of Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal may witness some rain and thunderstorm activity. Isolated pockets may also witness hailstorm.
A cyclonic circulation is over Assam and adjoining Meghalaya region which is likely to cause an extended spell of rain over Northeast India. Hailstorm activity is also possible in some parts.
The depression over Arabian Sea is showing signs of weakening and may become a low-pressure area now. A trough is also extending from this system along the Karnataka coast up to Konkan region. Thus, scattered light to moderate rains are likely over Kerala, Karnataka with a couple of heavy spells. Good showers are also likely over Konkan and Goa. Rains will witness a reduction over Tamil Nadu, but light showers will continue. Also, rains of lighter intensity are likely over interior parts of Telangana, and Rayalaseema.

Talking about the major cities of India, Bengaluru is expected to witness good rains. Mumbai may also see some light rains during the next 24 hours. Thunderstorm and dust storm may make an appearance over Delhi. Light rainfall may occur over Hyderabad. Kolkata also stands a chance of thunderstorm. Lastly, Chennai may see some light rain/thunderstorm.
