Weather Forecast for Mar 10: Light rain in Kashmir, Assam; Warm weather in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai

A Western Disturbance can be seen over Jammu and Kashmir. This system is expected to move away eastwards. Light rain may continue over few places of Jammu and Kashmir and isolated parts of Himachal Pradesh.

Meanwhile, the weather would remain dry over entire northwestern plains. Day and night temperatures may rise marginally over Punjab, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh.

Delhi is expected to witness a warm day and pleasant night, with a maximum of 33°C and minimum of 15°C.

Moving to Central India, dry northwesterly winds will blow over entire region. Now, the weather will go dry over East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, but the sky would remain partly cloudy over these areas.

A cyclonic circulation is seen over Gujarat; however this weather system will not have any impact in terms of rain. Only partly cloudy sky is expected over the state. Mumbai would see a warm and humid day, with a comfortable night.

Talking about the weather over East and Northeast India, light rain may occur over Arunachal Pradesh and East Assam. Remaining northeastern states would witness dry weather. Meanwhile, the weather will continue to remain warm and dry over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha.

Kolkata is expected to have a sultry day, with a maximum of 35°C and minimum of 20°C.

Lastly in South India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Comorin region and a trough is extending from this system up to Southeast Bay of Bengal. Light rain may occur over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, whereas dry and warm weather would persist over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
