Mumbai Monsoon is just few good spells away. Pre-Monsoon rains have already lashed the city and we expect more in offing.
Now also, a trough is extending along the West Coast from Coastal Maharashtra to North Coastal Kerala. Due to this, we expect rains to increase over Konkan & Goa and Madhya Maharashtra. We expect pre-Monsoon activities to pick up pace over Mumbai and few moderate spells are also possible during the next 24 hours.

Another trough is passing through East Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha that would bring few moderate spells over Vidarbha, East Madhya Pradesh and parts of Chhattisgarh. Isolated rains are also possible over remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh and South Gujarat. Weather of Kutch and South Rajasthan will remain dry and hot.
Down South– Now, we expect rain intensity to increase over Coastal Karnataka as well. A cyclonic circulation is seen over Andhra Pradesh Coast, which would increase the rains over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu will witness subdued Monsoon rains.
Further in East and Northeast India – Good rains will continue over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, while rains over Arunachal Pradesh and Assam will be light and scattered.
Thundershowers are also possible at few places over Bihar, Jharkhand, parts of West Bengal and Odisha. Isolated dust storm and thundershowers may occur over East Uttar Pradesh.

In North India – A cyclonic circulation is seen over Central Pakistan and a trough is extending from this system up to Bihar across Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Therefore, we expect dust storm and thundershowers over Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and North Rajasthan.
Rains will now reduce over Jammu and Kashmir but scattered light to moderate rains will continue over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
