Weather Forecast for June 6: Rain in Chennai and Hyderabad; Heatwave in Hisar, Jodhpur, Agra

It’s the time of the year when the Monsoon surge prevails over entire Peninsular India. On and off rains continue throughout this part of the country. As of now, we can see a cyclonic circulation off Karnataka Coast. It will continue to bring good rainfall over Kerala, Karnataka coast, Konkan & Goa and parts of Madhya Maharashtra. The weather system over Andhra Pradesh Coast will give fairly widespread rain and thundershowers over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Telangana and coastal parts of Odisha.

The major cities to receive rainfall tomorrow will include Chennai, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Pune, Kozhikode and Kolhapur.

A trough is extending from Haryana right up to Telangana, across Madhya Pradesh and Vidharbha, This will bring scattered light to moderate rainfall over interiors of Odisha, Jharkhand, Vidharbha and Telengana. Isolated rains are likely over the foothills of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

In Northeast India and adjoining areas of West Bengal we could only see scattered rains for now as the intensity of rain will remain subdued for another 24 hours.

Northwest and most parts of Central India will remain dry. Heatwave conditions will continue over many parts of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, few pockets of Gujarat, Haryana, and Vidarbha. Temperatures will settle around 45°C over Hisar, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Ganganagar, Kota and Bundi.

Day temperature could touch the 45°C mark also in Guna, Gwalior, Agra, Jhansi and Akola.
